My name is Angie Wewel, and I'm the owner of Grandview Drapery Studio LLC. We are a to-the-trade window treatment and soft furnishings workroom located in the city of Arvada, just north-west of Denver, Colorado.
I began sewing around the age of six and by age eleven, I was making my own clothing. Over the years I've made everything from handbags and purses to elaborate wedding gowns. Sitting in front of a sewing machine and working with my hands to create something beautiful with fabric has been a lifelong passion and pursuit for me.
I attended the University of Northern Colorado and earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with the intention of starting my own business in a creative industry one day. I had always enjoyed making window treatments for my own home, so it seemed like a natural progression to make beautiful, custom window treatments for others, and so Grandview Drapery Studio was formed.
I consider ongoing education to be extremely important. It allows me to keep up to date with new products, fabrication techniques, and cord safety standards so that I can provide my customers with the highest quality products and services. I have studied at the Custom Workroom Technical Center (Workroom Tech) in Tryon, North Carolina and have taken many online training courses and in-person seminars to hone my skills. I also studied upholstery at the Emily Grifith Technical College in Denver, Colorado. I am an attendee of the national Custom Workroom Conference, a member of the WCAA (Window Coverings Association of America), and a member of the WCAA Virtual Chapter.
